Most classes to resume next week

Following the announcement that Auckland is moving to Level 2 from Monday, we’re delighted to be able to resume most coding classes next week.

Classes will re-start as follows:

  • Glendowie School: Wednesday 2 September
  • Saint Kentigern Boys’ School: Thursday 3 September
  • St Heliers Community Centre: Thursday 3 September

Churchill Park School has asked that we delay by a week, so the first class back there will be on Tuesday 8 September.

We will be contacting all parents directly to confirm the re-start dates. However, if you have any questions, please feel free get in touch,

Level 2 guidelines

Please be aware that we will be operating under the school’s health and safety guidelines for Level 2. These include:

  • We will disinfect computers and high-touch areas (door handles, desktops, etc.) before class.
  • Each student must use hand sanitiser before entering the room.
  • Students will keep to the Ministry of Health’s recommended 1-metre physical distancing.
  • Anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms is asked not to attend.
  • Masks are not required but students can wear one if they choose.

Coding classes cancelled for next week, 18-20 August

The extension to the Level 3 lockdown period in Auckland means that there will be no coding classes next week, 18-20 August.

This affects the following:

  • Churchill Park School: Tuesday 18 August – cancelled
  • Glendowie School: Wednesday 19 August – cancelled
  • Saint Kentigern Boys’ School: Thursday 20 August – cancelled
  • St Heliers Community Centre: Thursday 20 August – cancelled

It’s likely that classes the week after, 25-27 August, will also not take place. However, the Government has said it will be reviewing the lockdown levels on Friday 21 August. We will make a decision as soon as we know the outcome of that review.

All parents of students in our classes will be contacted directly. If you don’t receive any communications from us – or have any questions – please let us know at

We will be using the last week of term to re-schedule a catch-up class. For further missed classes, we will offer a credit or refund.

Classes cancelled for Wednesday and Thursday

As you will be aware, Auckland is re-entering a Level 3 lockdown. This means our venues are closed and our coding classes are cancelled tomorrow (12 Aug) and Thursday (13 Aug).

This affects the following:

  • Glendowie School: Wednesday 12 August – cancelled
  • Saint Kentigern Boys’ School: Thursday 13 August – cancelled
  • St Heliers Community Centre: Thursday 13 August – cancelled

Provisionally, we’ll re-schedule these classes for the last week of Term 3.

Looking ahead, we will review next week’s classes (and beyond) as we learn more about the extent and duration of the lockdown.
