We hope everyone’s enjoyed the holidays and we’re looking forward to kicking off Term 3’s coding classes next week. There are a range of activities planned.

Our Year 4 groups will be continuing their exploration of basic coding and logic principles.

The older students will start by looking at the transition between block coding – something we’ve been doing this year, so far – to text coding. We’ll look at the code behind the blocks and how this translates to written code. It’s an important step to take before moving more into text-based coding.

Following that, the Year 5/6 classes will be working on JavaScript, HTML and CSS, learning about website creaiton and online interactivity. The Year 7/8 classes will continue their journey with Python.

Here’s to another successful and enjoyable term exploring the world of computer programming.
